On July 20, 2026, we hosted a powerful session titled “From Prompts to Processes: Productivity with Claude,” featuring our founder Anderson Oliveira and the inspiring Gabrielle (Gabi) Gentil. The evening was filled with practical insights into how Artificial Intelligence is moving beyond simple chat interfaces to become a robust engine for business orchestration and professional efficiency. As a community created by and for Brazilian IT professionals in Calgary, we are thrilled to share the key takeaways from this transformative presentation.
Gabi Gentil, founder of Be at Home, shared a deeply personal and resilient story of how she used Claude to rebuild her business from the ground up after a 95% drop in her traditional consulting model due to immigration rule changes. She transitioned her business to be 100% digital, utilizing AI to handle the “homework” of research, content drafting, and structure, while she maintained her role as the essential demandante, revisora, and aprovadora. Gabi introduced her “digital team,” led by an orchestrator agent named Olga, who manages twelve other AI specialists focused on everything from SEO to local rental laws. Her experience proved that even with a busy schedule and neurodivergence, AI can serve as a “bússola” or anchor to maintain consistency and productivity.
Building on Gabi’s practical success, Anderson Oliveira delved into the technical architecture behind these processes, emphasizing that an agent is essentially a session with a clear goal and autonomous tools. He shared a fascinating case study of migrating two WordPress sites in just 48 hours by turning the migration process into a reusable skill within Claude Code. Anderson highlighted the importance of parallelism and the use of worktrees, which allow for multiple parts of a project to be executed simultaneously without conflict. He also showcased tools like the Dispatcher for remote execution and Scheduling for automated morning briefings, proving that productivity is about delegating execution while keeping control of decisions.
A crucial theme of the night was “Approval by Design,” a principle ensuring that human oversight is never bypassed. Anderson warned that while Claude is incredibly fluent, it is probabilistic, not deterministic, meaning it can sound certain while being wrong. He stressed that the “human in the loop” is vital to avoid the “Garbage In, Garbage Out” (GIGO) trap, where generic prompts lead to generic, unhelpful results. By integrating mandatory approval steps into automated workflows, professionals can leverage the speed of AI without sacrificing the quality or safety of their output.
Beyond technical tips, the presentation addressed the mental and cultural shifts required in the age of AI, specifically the high cost of context switching. Anderson cited research showing that the average brain takes 23 minutes to regain focus after a distraction, a fatigue Gabi likened to draining one’s “social battery”. The solution lies in delegating the mental residue of multiple tasks to AI agents, allowing humans to focus on the high-level business logic and strategy. As the industry evolves, both speakers agreed that the “dev” who only writes code is becoming obsolete; the future belongs to those who understand the business and can orchestrate AI to solve real-world problems.
